Ash leak in Reliance Coal Power plant in Madhya pradesh India

Singrauli a district in Madhya Pradesh remain under constant threat of man made disaster due to presence of 10 coal power plant . Three incident of breach in  artificial pond near power plants in Singrauli happened in the last one year . The latest one was of Reliance Coal Power plant  in which two villagers - a 35-year-old man and an eight-year-old boy - have died and four are missing after a breach in an artificial pond that stores toxic residue.Similar incident was reported by local media in which a fly ash dyke break at a plant operated by Essar in August and another run by NTPC Ltd in October.

30 members of the National Disaster Response Force or NDRF is involved in the search operation for other villagers. "So far two bodies of an eight-year-old boy and a 35-year-old man have been recovered from the ash slurry, around seven km away towards the border with Uttar Pradesh," said Singrauli District Collector KVS Chaudhary.

In a statement, Reliance Power said: "The break in the ash dump yard wall pushed the water leading to break in the boundary wall affecting some thatched houses and minor land parcel. The company added that it is investigating the reasons underlying the incident.  Power plant operations, which are not disrupting the relief work, continue, the company said.

A 2012 study by India's Centre for Science and Environment found mercury levels in blood samples in the region - home to over 10 coal-fired power plants - to be six times more than what is considered safe. After these kind of incidents the ash in the soil hit agricultural output for at least two seasons. These plants have made Singrauli the second-most critically polluted industrial zone in the country after Ghaziabad, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

Just a few months back, a national green tribunal team had visited the area. All power companies had assured the team that their ash dykes were in good health and were being maintained. Singrauli is a critical zone in the country. Many directions have been passed in the past but no one seems to listen, said Ashwani Dubey in an interview ( reported by NDTV,) a lawyer who has fought cases related to pollution in Singrauli in the green court.

In August last year, after a similar breach in a power plant run by Essar, the company had alleged that it was a clear case of sabotage. However, a government report on the breach had blamed it on extreme carelessness by the company management  and held them responsible for a sub-standard boundary and not clearing waste material from the boundary.

This is really a critical situation if companies don't pay any heed to the rules and regulation since we all remember the long lasting effect of the Bhopal gas leak , the man made disaster which destroyed the life of lakhs of people . No one want that kind of things to be repeated again at any cost .

We are expecting from government and court to take strict action against all the companies which don't follow Safety rules which will help in avoiding such kind of incident in future .

HINDU,CHRISTIAN and Other MINORITIES are Starving in ISLAMIC State of Pakistan amid CHINESE CORONAVIRUS Pandamic

Pakistan a nation in South Asia Globally known for supporting terrorist activity around the globe and top hideout of global terrorist like OSAMA bin Laden , Mullah omar , Hafeej saeed ect is also very popular for religious discrimination against minorities living in the country . Even as there is an alarming concern over the outbreak of coronovirus, Pakistan continued to discriminate between its people on the basis of religion as a large number of people belonging to the Hindu , Christian community were denied food supplies.

Most of Hindu population are living in Sindh province of Pakistan which is under lockdown for several days .The Sindh government issued an order to distribute ration through local NGOs and administration to daily wage workers and laborers.

Thousands of poor people had gathered on 29th March at Rehrri Ghoth in Karachi to receive food supplies and daily essentials, however, those belonging to the Hindu and other minority community were told to go back since the rations were only meant for Muslims. A Political activist named Dr AMJAD AYUB MIRJA appealed to India a neighbouring country to intervene without delay and avert a humanitarian crisis in Sindh. There are more than half a million Hindus living in the Sindh province of Pakistan.

Another similiar incident reported On Sunday, April 5, When more than 100 Christian families from Sandha Kalan village, located in the Kasur district of Pakistan’s Punjab province, were excluded from a distribution of food aid. Shahakeel Ahmed, a local Muslim and human rights defender, told ICC that Sheikh Abdul Haleem Hamid, a cleric at the local mosque, decided that the food aid would be distruted to only Muslim families. The aid, collected by a village management committee and mostly made up of foodstuffs, was reportedly designed to be distributed among all the deserving families of the village. However, when the aid was distributed, Sheikh Hamid did not allow even a single Christian family to receive aid.

Ahmed reportedly protested against this discrimination and raised his voice against the decision made by the cleric. However, these protests went unheard.
I condemn this inhumane and discriminatory act by my Muslim village fellows and stand in solidarity with the poor Christian population of the village,” Ahmed told ICC. “Therefore a group of like-minded individuals are collecting donations from liberal Muslims to extend foodstuff to this vulnerable segment; the Christians of this country.

Many social media users from twitter to facebook living in Different part of country also reporting similar incident in last few days .

Pakistan government also have not taken any step toward helping  minorities living in Pakistan .No separate package has been announced and also there is no medical facilities for minorities . Large amount of Population of Hindu ,Sikh and Christian come from very lower income group , they can not afford to survive amid complete lockdown due to Chinese CoronaVirus .

NRC Assam : Will India Deport 2 million People ?

The National Register of Citizen (NRC) is till date the biggest drive to verify citizenship in India. It is aimed at identifying illegal immigrants who entered and settled in Assam, primarily from Bangladesh, after March 25, 1971 and deport them to their native country. The NRC is a list of people who can prove that they came to Assam before 24 March 1971, a day before India's neighbouring country Bangladesh declared independence from Pakistan. The first NRC was prepared in 1951 on the basis of year's census in Assam. It is the country's only state to create such a document. NRC was created to control unabated migration from Bangladesh. The state is said to have faced longstanding foreigner problem, to remove illegal migrants and arrest further inflow.

Almost 2 million (19 lakh) people in Assam have been excluded from the final version of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam that was released by the government today at 10 am. A total of 33 million  (3.29 crore) people had applied for the NRC, of which 31million (3.11 crore) made it to the final list.

So the questions here today are what will happen to those 2 million (19 lakh ) people who are excluded from NRC ? Will India Deport them ?or they will find a way to Stay here ?

Back Ground  of NRC (National Register of Citizen )

On December 6, 2013, the government issued the first notification setting a deadline of three years for completion of the entire NRC process. Since then, five extensions have been given by the government. The draft NRC was published on July 30 and included the names of  29 million people (2.9 crore) of the total 33 million ( 3.29 crore ) applicants. Here is the complete Timeline of  NRC.

1950: Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act comes into force following influx of refugees from then East Pakistan to Assam after partition.

1951: First Census of Independent India conducted. Based on Census, first NRC compiled.

1957: Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act repealed.

1964-1965: Influx of refugees from East Pakistan due to disturbances in that country.

1971: Fresh influx due to riot and war in East Pakistan. Independence Bangladesh comes into existence.

1979-1985: Six-year-long Assam agitation, spearheaded by the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) and All Assam Gana Sangram Parishad (AAGSP) for detection, disenfranchisement and deportation of foreigners.

1983: Massacre at Nellie in Central Assam which claimed the lives of over 3,000 people. Illegal Migrants (Determination by Tribunals) Act passed.

1985: Assam Accord signed by the Centre, the state, AASU and AAGSP in the presence of then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. It stated, among other clauses, that foreigners who came to Assam on or after March 25, 1971 shall be expelled.

1997: Election Commission decides to add 'D' (doubtful) against names of voters whose claim to Indian citizenship is doubtful.

2005: Supreme Court strikes down IMDT Act as unconstitutional. Tripartite meeting among Centre, state government and AASU decides to update 1951 NRC. But no major development takes place.

2009: Assam Public Works (APW), an NGO, files case in Supreme Court praying for deletion of foreigners's name in electoral rolls and updation of NRC.

2010: Pilot project starts in Chaygaon, Barpeta to update NRC. Project successful in Chaygaon. Four killed in violence in Barpeta. Project shelved.

2013: Supreme Court takes up APW petition, directs Centre, state to begin the process for updating NRC. NRC State Coordinator's office set up.

2015: Updation of NRC process begins.

2017: On December 31 midnight, Draft NRC published with names of 1.9 crore of total 3.29 crore applicants.

July 30, 2018: Another Draft NRC published, 40 lakh of 2.9 crore people excluded.

June 26, 2019: Publication of Additional Draft Exclusion List of 1,02,462 released.

August 31, 2019: Final NRC released.

So why is it necessary to update NRC in Assam ? and What is the Controversy all about ?

The National Register of Citizens was first prepared in Assam in 1951. The 1951 NRC is said to have covered each and every person enumerated during the Census of 1951 in Assam.
The final list of NRC in Assam comes 14 years after the then Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh chaired a meeting between the central government, the Assam government and the All Assam Students Union (AASU) where a consensus was developed that the National Register of Citizens should be updated to honour the promises made in the Assam Accord of 1985.
Last year, when the second draft of the NRC was released on June 30, a huge controversy erupted as nearly 4 million people (40 lakh ) people in Assam were excluded from the NRC.
Over the past decades, there were demands that the National Register of Citizens should be updated in Assam. These demands stemmed in the wake of cross-border illegal migration into Assam, primarily from Bangladesh, which has been repeatedly resented by the locals. Opposition to this unchecked illegal inflow of people has resulted in bouts of violence and state-wide protests in the past.
Identification, detention and deportation of such immigrants was a major demand over which the All Assam Students Union (AASU) launched a 6-year movement which ended with the signing of the Assam Accord in 1985.
To prove their citizenship, people in Assam have to show documentary evidence that they or their ancestors were born in Assam before March 25, 1971, which has been set as the cut-off date.
The government says, "The NRC, when updated, shall become an important legal document to fall back upon for a citizen with reference to his/her status of Indian Citizenship."

While the intent of the NRC updating exercise is to identify and possibly deport the so-called illegal migrants, the process and its fallout have become controversial in the recent past.

Besides cases of ordinary people, there have been cases where military veterans, government officials, and even family members of a former President of India and former chief minister of Assam were excluded from the draft NRC list and were forced to prove that they were not "illegal" migrants before the Foreigners' Tribunals.

In other cases, this process has thrown up bizarre situations where a brother finds his name in the NRC list while his sibling gets excluded; or a father makes it to the list but his son doesn't, etc.
Proving one's citizenship is only a part of the NRC process because the government's real intent behind the exercise is to identify "illegal" immigrants and deport them to their native countries. Before being finally deported, those left out in the final NRC will have a chance to present their case before the Foreigners' Tribunals set-up in Assam for the sole purpose of identifying illegal immigrants. If they are identified as "illegal" migrants, they will be locked-up in detention camps, until their deportation. Media reports have been stating that these detention camps are infamous for their inhumane living conditions.

So what will happen to 2million (NRC) people who are excluded from NRC ?

People who have been excluded from the final list of NRC will have to appeal against it at Foreigners' Tribunals (FT)- a quasi-judicial court and subsequently in the high court or Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, the BJP-led Assam government has already ruled out the detention of people who do not figure in the list 'in any circumstances' till the time an FT doesn't declare them foreigners. The government has given 120 days time to those excluded from the NRC to appeal in the court. On the other hand, as per media reports, the courts in India will be burdened and get exhaustive as the appeal period is short and cases are far too many which may further clog the process. At present, there are 100 FTs in Assam and 200 more will be functional soon.
Suppose, someone who loses his or her case in a Foreigners' Tribunal as well as in higher courts, he or she will face a possible arrest and the prospect of being sent to a detention centre.

How those excluded from NRC can back up their claims for inclusion?

Those excluded from NRC will have to prove that they or their ancestors were living in Assam on or before March 24, 1971. Also, anyone who participated in the electoral rolls up to March 24, 1971, or who are descendants of any such citizens, are eligible for inclusion in the updated NRC. Besides, the original documents such as birth certificates and land records - as long as these were issued before the cutoff date, would also be admissible as a proof of citizenship.
Wouldn't those rejected have already submitted the documents to establish their linkage to March 24, 1971?
People who had submitted documents in order to establish their linkage to March 24, 1971 or earlier but still excluded from the NRC list may face an additional problem as their papers were not enough to establish this linkage. Such people face the task of finding documents other than those that were rejected.

Will India Deport them ?

What will happen If even legal recourse fails for the NRC excluded people, would they be deported?

Assam has six detention camps and the government is planning to build more for illegal migrants within existing jails. The state government has proposed to build a seventh detention camp with a capacity for 3,000 people. However, the list of illegal migrants is in millions which these detention centers won't be able to accommodate.

Even If not deported or detained in a camp, such people would officially be entitled as non-citizens. Although, India has no fixed policy for "stateless" persons. The only aspect that is more or less clear here is that a "stateless" person will not have voting rights. As of now, nothing is clear about their rights to work, housing and government healthcare and education. In India, being "stateless" is not the same as being a refugee. At present, India has refugees from Tibet, Sri Lanka (Tamils) and West Pakistan.

Kashmir Conflict : From Switzerland of East to Palestine of South Asia

Once upon a time there was a king named Maharaja Hari Singh . He was the ruler of Kashmir. Kashmir was an ethnically diverse Princely state in Himalayan region, covering around 86,000 sq miles (138 sq km), and famed for the beauty of its lakes, meadows and snow-capped mountains. The king of Kashmir Maharaja Hari Singh wanted to make the State SWITZERLAND OF EAST . But Alas His dream gets over before it can even start and Now It is on the verge of becoming PALESTINE OF SOUTH ASIA  .

Since 1947 Kashmir Conflict has been one of the land dispute between 3 Nuclear Nation India Pakistan and China . India controls approximately 55% of the land area of the region and 70% of its population, Pakistan controls approximately 30% of the land, while China controls the remaining 15%.

73 yrs , 4 wars , Ethnic cleansing of thousands of Kashmiri Pandit and the displacement of another half million ,thousands of people of all religion and region getting killed from insurgency, Pakistan sponsored terrorism and cross border fire but the dispute is far from over. But yes, the dream of making Kashmir  SWITZERLAND OF EAST is definitely over .The Dream of keeping it as a HEAVEN OF EARTH  is also over . Now this is just a piece of land Where 3 Nuclear Nations are fighting for Control without caring much about its people , which makes the current scenario of Kashmir not much better then Palestine , Where large number of casualties of innocent people is very common , Where Human Rights of people is lesser then even Chicken  . That is Why it is now Unofficially becoming  PALESTINE OF SOUTH ASIA .

But before We understand the current scenario we have go back to the History of the Conflict .

 History of Kashmir Conflict

The beginning : India and Pakistan

In 1947 ,Kashmir was a Muslim - majority princely State , ruled by a Hindu king , Maharaja Hari Singh . At the time of Partition of India , Maharaja Hari Singh , the ruler of Kashmir , preferred to remain independent and did not want to join either the Union of India or the Dominion of Pakistan . as I already told you ,he wanted both India and Pakistan to recognise his princely state as an independent neutral country like Switzerland . He wanted to make his state the Switzerland of East since the population of the state depended on tourism and person from all regions could come to an independent Jammu and Kashmir with ease . For this reason , he offered a standstill agreement for maintaining status quo to both India and Pakistan. India refused the offer but Pakistan accepted initially but later made various efforts to persuade the Maharaja of Kashmir to join Pakistan. In July 1947, Mohammad Ali Jinnah is believed to have written to the Maharaja promising "every sort of favourable treatment".

Faced with the Maharaja's indecision on accession, the Muslim League agents in Pakistan clandestinely worked in Poonch to encourage the local Muslims to an armed revolt, exploiting an internal unrest regarding already going on Hindu Muslim riot and economic grievances. Backed by Pakistani Paramilitary forces , PashtunMehsud tribals invaded Kashmir in October 1947 under the code name Operation Gulmarg to seize Kashmir. They reached and captured Baramulla on Oct 25 1947 . Kashmir Security forces were too weak and ill equipped to fight against Pakistan . Troubled by Invasion and finding no other way to protect his kingdom Finally Maharaja Hari Singh signed the instrument of accession to the Union of India and request India to send its troops .The Maharaja signed an instrument of accession on 26 October 1947, which was accepted by the Governor General the next day.National Conference, the largest political party in the State and headed by Sheikh Abdullah, endorsed the accession. In the words of the National Conference leader Syed Mir Qasim, India had the "legal" as well as "moral" justification to send in the army through the Maharaja's accession and the people's support of it.

By the time Pakistani Raiders were close to Capital , Srinagar. The Indian troops, which were airlifted in the early hours of 27 October, secured the Srinagar airport before proceeding to evict the invaders from Kashmir valley . The Indian Troops managed to to evict aggressors from parts of Kashmir but onset of winter made much of state impassable . After months of intense fighting between Pakistan and India , Pakistani Leader and the Indian PM Nehru declared a ceasefire and Sought U.N arbitration with the promise of plebiscite. While Indian Home Minister Sardar patel had argued against both, describing Kashmir as a bilateral dispute and its accession justified by International law .
However ,The UNCIP made three visits to the subcontinent between 1948 and 1949, trying to find a solution agreeable to both India and Pakistan. It reported to the Security Council in August 1948 that "the presence of troops of Pakistan" inside Kashmir represented a "material change" in the situation. A two-part process was proposed for the withdrawal of forces. In the first part, Pakistan was to withdraw its forces as well as other Pakistani nationals from the state. In the second part, "when the Commission shall have notified the Government of India" that Pakistani withdrawal has been completed, India was to withdraw the bulk of its forces. After both the withdrawals were completed, a plebiscite would be held. The resolution was accepted by India but effectively rejected by Pakistan.

Dixon Plan

Sir Owen Dixon of UNCIP offered an alternative proposal, widely known as the Dixon plan. Dixon did not view the state of Jammu and Kashmir as one homogeneous unit and therefore proposed that a plebiscite  limited to the Valley. Dixon agreed that people in Jammu and Ladakh were clearly in favour of India; equally clearly, those in Azad Kashmir and the Northern Areas wanted to be part of Pakistan. This left the Kashmir Valley and 'perhaps some adjacent country around Muzaffarabad in uncertain political terrain.Pakistan did not accept this plan because it believed that India's commitment to a plebiscite for the whole state should not be abandoned. Moreover In !957 ,North-western Kashmir was fully integrated into Pakistan .

Aksai Chin : India ,China  and 1962 War

At one side India and Pakistan were struggling with each other to take full control of Kashmir and fighting it out by both war and Diplomacy and at the other side another part of Kashmir  was Struggling between India and China .

On April 1 1950, India became 16th state to establish diplomatic relation with People's Republic of China . India PM Nehru has also given slogan of  Hindi chini  bhai bhai (Indian Chinese are brothers ) .But these things failed to build trust between India and China .

In 1954 Indian reconnaissance party discovered a completed chinese road running through the Aksai Chin , which India considered its own on the basis of McMohan LIne . But China rejected McMohan Line .
Boarder clashes become frequent in this area and later get converted in war between India and China on October 20, 1962.The PRC pushed the unprepared and inadequately led Indian forces and capture strategic point in Ladakh . Later PRC declared a unilateral cease fire on 21 november and withdrew its forces behind its contended line of control .
The area ASKAI CHIN is still in control of CHINA as of today and one of the boarder dispute between India and China .Another smaller area, the Trans-Karakoram, was demarcated as the Line of Control (LOC) between China and Pakistan, although some of the territory on the Chinese side is claimed by India to be part of Kashmir. The line that separates India from China in this region is known as the "Line of Actual Control".

1965 India Pakistan War and Tashkent Agreement

The 1965 war started when Pakistan launched a guerilla warfare code name Operation Gibraltar , which was designed to infiltrate forces into Jammu and Kashmir to precipitate an insurgency against rule by India. However, the 'Operation Gibraltar' ended in failure as the Kashmiris did not revolt. Instead, they turned in infiltrators to the Indian authorities in substantial numbers, and the Indian Army ended up fighting the Pakistani Army regulars. Pakistan claimed that the captured men were Kashmiri 'freedom fighters', a claim contradicted by the international media. On 1 September, Pakistan launched an attack across the Cease Fire Line, targeting Akhnoor in an effort to cut Indian communications into Kashmir. In response, India broadened the war by launching an attack on Pakistani Punjab across the international border. The war lasted until 23 September, ending in a stalemate. Following the Tashkent Agreement, both the sides withdrew to their pre-conflict positions, and agreed not to interfere in each other's internal affairs.

1971 Indian Pakistan War and Impact on Kashmir Issue

The Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 led to a loss for Pakistan and a military surrender in East Pakistan. Bangladesh was created as a separate state with India's support and India emerged as a clear regional power in South Asia.
A bilateral summit was held at Simla as a follow-up to the war, where India pushed for peace in South Asia. At stake were 5,139 square miles of Pakistan's territory captured by India during the conflict, and over 90,000 prisoners of war held in Bangladesh. India was ready to return them in exchange for a "durable solution" to the Kashmir issue.
Accordingly, the Simla Agreement was formulated and signed by the two countries, whereby the countries resolved to settle their differences by peaceful means through bilateral negotiations and to maintain the sanctity of the Line of Control. Multilateral negotiations were not ruled out, but they were conditional upon both sides agreeing to them. To India, this meant an end to the UN or other multilateral negotiations. However Pakistan reinterpreted the wording in the light of a reference to the "UN charter" in the agreement, and maintained that it could still approach the UN. The United States, United Kingdom and most Western governments agree with India's interpretation.
The Simla Agreement also stated that the two sides would meet again for establishing durable peace. Reportedly Bhutto asked for time to prepare the people of Pakistan and the National Assembly for a final settlement. Indian commentators state that he reneged on the promise. Bhutto told the National Assembly on 14 July that he forged an equal agreement from an unequal beginning and that he did not compromise on the right of self-determination for Jammu and Kashmir. The envisioned meeting never occurred.

Exodus of Kashmiri Hindu

Under the 1975 accord, Sheikh Abdullah agreed to measures previously undertaken by the central government in Jammu and Kashmir to integrate the state into India. Sociologist Farrukh Faheem states that it was met with hostility among people of Kashmir and laid the groundwork for the future insurgency. Those opposed to it included Jamaat-e-Islami Kashmir and People's League in Indian Jammu and Kashmir, and Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) based in Azad Kashmir. Since the mid-1970s, communalist rhetoric was being exploited in the state for votebank politics. Islamization of Kashmir began during 1980's when Abdullah Government changed the names of about 2500 villages from their native names to new Islamic names. The Sheikh also started delivering communal speeches in mosques similar to his speeches in 1930's.
Additionally, he referred Kashmiri Pandits as “mukhbir” or informers of the Indian government. The Islamists had organised under a banner named Muslim United Front, with manifesto to work for Islamic unity and against political interference from the centre, and contested the 1987 state elections, in which they lost again. However, the 1987 elections were widely believed to be rigged so as to bring the secular parties (NC and INC) in Kashmir at the forefront, and this caused the insurgency in Kashmir. The Kashmiri militants killed anyone who openly expressed pro-India policies. Kashmiri Pandits were targeted specifically because they were seen as presenting Indian presence in Kashmir because of their faith.
In July 1988, the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) began a separatist insurgency for independence of Kashmir from India. The group targeted a Kashmiri Hindu for the first time on 14 September 1989, when they killed Pandit Tika Lal Taploo, an advocate and a prominent leader of Bharatiya Janata Party in Jammu & Kashmir in front of several eyewitnesses. This instilled fear in the Kashmiri Pandit community especially as Taploo's killers were never caught which also emboldened the terrorists. The Pandits felt that they weren't safe in the valley and could be targeted any time. The killings of Kashmiri Hindus continued that included many of the prominent ones. On 4 January 1990, a local Urdu newspaper, Aftab, published a press release issued by Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, asking all Pandits to leave the Valley immediately. Another local paper, Al Safa, repeated this expulsion order. Explosive and inflammatory speeches were broadcast from the public address systems of the mosques frequently. The sense of vulnerabity and insecurity was exacerbated by attacks on prominent Hindu politicians, postings of hit lists with names of specific Hindu individuals and various violent episodes in Srinagar and other places.
The Hindus of the Kashmir Valley, were forced to flee the Kashmir valley as a result of being targeted by JKLF and Islamist insurgents during late 1989 and early 1990. Of the approximately 300,000 to 600,000 Hindus living in the Kashmir Valley in 1990 only 2,000–3,000 remain there in 2019.
This was One of the darkest chapter in the History of Kashmir ,India and Humanity . This was rarest of the rare moment in the history of human civilization where people of their country were living like refugees in their own country .This is also a dark spot on the So called Secularism and Largest democratic status of India.

Kargil War

During the winter season, Indian forces regularly move down to lower altitudes, as severe climatic conditions makes it almost impossible for them to guard the high peaks near the Line of Control. This practice is followed by both India and Pakistan Army. The terrain makes it difficult for both sides to maintain a strict border control over Line of Control. The insurgents and Pakistani army took advantage of this and occupied vacant mountain peaks in the Kargil range overlooking the highway in Indian Kashmir that connects Srinagar and Leh. By blocking the highway, they could cut off the only link between the Kashmir Valley and Ladakh. This resulted in a large-scale conflict between the Indian and Pakistani armies. The final stage involved major battles by Indian and Pakistani forces resulting in India recapturing most of the territories held by Pakistani forces.
Fears of the Kargil War turning into a nuclear war provoked the then-United States President Bill Clinton to pressure Pakistan to retreat. The Pakistan Army withdrew their remaining troops from the area, ending the conflict.

You can read here Role of America in Kargil war

India regained control of the Kargil peaks and it was 4th time India defeated Pakistan in a war . But Pakistan Never learnt from the Past and keep repeating the Mistakes

Abrogation of 370 and 35 A

Article 370 of the Indian constitution gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir—allowing it to have a separate constitution, a state flag and autonomy over the internal administration of the state. On 5 Aug 2019 the government of India revoked this special status in August 2019 through a Presidential Order and the passage of a resolution in Parliament. This is one of the attempt of Indian Government to fully Integrate Jammu Kashmir in India and promote Equality among gender and Religion .But due this action Kashmir has to be locked down completely. Which is very common here .People here spend more time in Curfew then Normal.

Since 1947 more than 80,000 people have been killed in Kashmir and more than 5 million have been displaced  .Pakistan is openly supporting terrorism there and after abrogation of 370 ,they want to increase Insurgency in J&K.

Now India want to recapture POK (Pakistan occupied Azad Kashmir)  .A Limited war may break out between Two nuclear Nation if this will happen , Which might Accelerat till nuclear exchange .

But there is also Some Good news in Aksai Chin region where No bullets have been fired since 1962 War .We can hope China and India Solve there Problem with Dialogues .

India and Pakistan both countries maintain large army and spend large part of there expenditure on Defense and the Main reason for that is Kashmir .Both countries are Developing country and have large number of people living below poverty line .

We can Just hope one day Pakistan will stop sponsoring terrorism and people of Kashmir will understand where there goodwill  lie and will not get manipulated by Separatist and Terrorist  and that day Kashmir Issue can be solved in true sense. Only a holistic development can bring peace in Kashmir and finally fulfill the dream of Maharaja Hari Singh to make Kashmir Switzerland of East.

In Current scenario  Curfew,Terrorism and cross boarder fire which takes lots of live on daily basis making Kashmir Look like more close to Palestine of South Asia .

We can Just Hope Heaven of the earth Kashmir will raise from this Hell One Day .

Terrorist Leaning KASHMIRI JOURNALIST Shujaat Bukhari Allegedly Killed by Terrorist in KASHMIR

SHUJAAT BUKHARI the editor of Rising Kashmir newspaper, was killed in the attack on THURSDAY in which his two security officers were also killed. He was attacked when he had stepped out of his office in Press Colony in the city to head home.

He was a Islamic Fundamentalist JOURNALIST  who had openly supported (on twitter) attack on famous Cartoonist Charlie hebdo by Islamic Terrorist in 2015. He even asked to boycott a movie and tried to instigate people against it by saying '' its ok to be Intolerant If it is about Prophet mohammad'' (on twitter) in 2012. Do you really think these kind of statement is acceptable for a journalist ? He used to wear his religion in his sleeves . His bias toward certain kind of violent ideology is completely not acceptable for any school of journalism .

His colleagues and friends called him Champion of KASHMIR issue but He Seldomly speaks about Kashmiri Pandit, there assassination by Islamic Terrorist , and there 27 yr old exile . He did try to make a bridge between separatist and govt on certain issue but his closeness with pakistan cann't be ruled out also. His back door meetings with pakistani officials/people from POK  further angers the separatist .His death might bring shock to many Journalist who love to play in the hand of both govt and separatist according to their will and payroll.Even during Burah wani death his statement was more like a terrorist sympathizer then a journalist .

As a vocal advocate of  stone pelters and violent protest supporter His views were similar to Leftist and pakistani Intellectuals who always tries to differentiate between good terrorist and bad terrorist . In the holy month of Ramdan and just before EID His death might be a sad, tragic and unfortunate Incident in Kashmir like many others in the recent past ,But his style of journalism also need to be changed. Journalist , Intellectual and human right champion need to understand that there is nothing human and good about terrorism and there supporters. Its fine till you agree with them but Once you disagree with them they wont leave you . This is sad but true. This is what happened with him also .

Indian Army and J&K police searching for his killer . which they might found very soon. But his assassination will put some hard question against journalists who are doing his kind of journalism. Will they continue to sympathize for terrorist under the umbrella of Human right ? We will see this in future.

I hope he will rest in peace and may Allah give strength to his family members. He might be missed among fellow JOURNALIST but His style of JOURNALISM will not .
